Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris enables you to experience the narrative seen in season three of the increasingly popular SAO anime. It all begins with Kirito awakening somewhere unrecognisable and unknown, yet strangely familiar at the same time. Here he meets a person named Eugeo and quickly realises that they’re destined to work together in order to achieve their goals.
Playing as a fairly customisable version of main protagonist Kirito, you’ll go on an adventure in a party of four characters and become immersed in the virtual lands of Underworld. Expect to see a few characters returning to lend a hand, including the likes of Sinon, Leafa, Silica and Lisbeth. Your allies will be useful during the intense, real-time battles which look set to test those sword skills of yours and whether you’ve mastered the Sacred Arts. And for those who prefer to team up with other players, there’s also an online offering where you can create a unique avatar for your escapades.
Will Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris be your latest purchase? If so, you’ll find it on the Xbox Store – as well as the respective digital stores of the other aforementioned platforms – for £49.99. There’s a Deluxe Edition too, which costs a bit more at £84.99, and that gives you some in-game currency alongside the Premium Pass – garnering access to two major expansions. It’s worth noting that buying either addition within a month of launch will see you receive four extra costumes.
