Joining Teppo and The Secret Ancient City on Xbox?

We guess it should be Indiana Jones vibes that we are getting from the release of Teppo and The Secret Ancient City on Xbox. But honestly, it’s Rick Dangerous from way back when that we are really feeling.

Teppo and The Secret Ancient City is available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Priced at £6.69, it arrives on console thanks to the 7 Raven Studio and Totalconsole teams.

An ancient city awaits

Teppo and The Secret Ancient City will see you placed firmly in the well-worn boots of Teppo. A legendary adventurer, you find yourself heading to the Amazon, all in hope of uncovering a stone fortress. From there, standard jungle fare comes to the fore – ancient civilisations, secret stones and portals to more between parallel worlds. Okay, maybe that last one is a bit more out there.

Basically, Teppo and The Secret Ancient City is an old-school platformer. A game in which you’ll be left to overcome traps and obstacles, dodge enemies and more. If you’ve ever played a platformer from the last forty years, you’ll know what to expect. We just hope it’s a bit easier than our failed attempts at beating Rick Dangerous on the Amiga back in the day.

You can find out for yourself by picking up Teppo and The Secret Ancient City via the Xbox Store. You’ll be able to play on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.

Teppo and The Secret Ancient City Game Description

“Teppo and The Secret Ancient City” is an exciting adventure where players take on the role of explorer Teppo, searching for the legendary stone fortress hidden in the Amazon jungle. Meeting the mysterious Tanaca Wanax, the last chief of the unknown tribe of elected allies, Ugha Lulala, players will discover the incredible and fantastic history of a highly evolved ancient civilization, superior to that of the Mayas and the Incas. With the help of unknown technologies from space visitors, including magical diamond-shaped stones that can open a portal to access parallel worlds, players will have to overcome obstacles and challenges to reach the fortress and open the first portal. A mystery and discovery filled adventure for fans of exploration and archaeology.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
