We’ve all spent time skating the rails, hitting the grinds and pulling off tricks, but Wave Break is different for it combines those usual skating elements with a boat. Yeah, a boat. A skateboat.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Wave Break from Funktronic Labs is sold as an arcade affair in which you combine the standard skateboarding action with that of a boat game – something which is strangely hugely popular at this time, what with the release of Ships Simulator and Ship of Fools.
This one certainly promises to bring a ton of fun, adding in guns, kickflips, explosions and more as you get the chance to traverse a crime-filled Miami Vice inspired world.
Having previously released on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, it’s now the turn of Xbox players to get in on the Wave Break action, paying up a mere £16.74 in order to discover access. Do that and you’ll be treated to a single player campaign, some ranked online multiplayer action, various game modes and even the opportunity to create your own stages through a park creator.
