Hidden away behind the furore of E3 are the latest deals and bargains in the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 16th-22nd June 2015. But you obviously can’t afford to splash the cash on each and every discount in place so let us help you out by pointing you in the right direction…and helping you keep away from some of the rubbish that is in place.
We’re fairly confident that this weeks deals will appeal to a wide variety of gamers, both on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Check out our thoughts on the discounts in place on the following…
Grab – Guacamelee STCE – £2.80/$3.75 – 75% off – Xbox One
Whenever we see something for around the £3 mark, our ears prick up. When it’s something as good as Guacamelee STCE then we really have to take notice. A clever action platformer with a large dose of humour thrown in, the only downside is the omission of online co-op.
It may have previously been given away via the Games With Gold scheme, but that was near on a year ago and so anyone venturing into the world of Xbox One since then should snap it up at this price.
Leave – Battlefield 4 Premium Edition – £27.50/$30.00 – 50% off
We still can’t get our heads around why or how any EA title gets onto the Deals With Gold sale. When you have something included in the EA Access Vault, then no matter how much you reduce the price by, the smart money goes towards the Access program and all the variety of stuff that gives you.
Do yourself a favour and enlist in a EA Access pass today…and give the sale price of Battlefield 4 a wide berth.
Grab – Battlefield Bad Company and Bad Company 2 – both £4.94/$4.94 – 67% off – Xbox 360
Now, less than a fiver for Bad Company is a bargain. Less than a fiver for Bad Company 2 is even more of a bargain. Two great games that can be picked up for under a tenner for the two is a bit of a no brainer. You may well struggle to find many playing either game online, but the solo player campaigns are more than worthy of the little cash required.
Leave – The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – £15.99/$19.99 – 60% off – Xbox 360
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn’t amazing. In fact, it’s a bit rubbish. Which is a shame because the first game was highly enjoyable and fans of Spidey (or indeed any super hero), would have loved to flock to the sequel. But with long loading times, atrocious graphics and game killing bugs all present, we can’t even recommend this if it was closer to 80% off.
