Who’s Your Daddy puts your Xbox parenting skills to the test

Goat Simulator perhaps kickstarted the trend of wacky simulators garnering incredible amounts of attention through the medium of YouTube, and Who’s Your Daddy is another truly chaotic title that has benefitted as such.

Now Who’s Your Daddy – the extreme parenting simulator that tasks you from preventing the idiotic death of your idiotic child, played with likely equally idiotic mates – is available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, following its 2015 PC debut. The version on Xbox is entering into the Xbox Game Preview program, as a complete remake of the original.

What we have here is up to eight players playing online or four players locally via splitscreen, assuming control of a mischievous baby, or an incredibly concerned parent, in asymmetrical gameplay. As the baby, you simply must cause as much chaos as possible by breaking plates, swinging through windows and… riding the family bulldog, all in the ultimate goal of dying. Yes, in order to win you must die: cook yourself in a microwave, drown yourself, plug yourself into the mains electricity, you know the deal.

On the other side of the coin we have the parents, who benefit from greater height and reach to access many of the hundreds of interactable objects more easily, but constantly get twisted up trying to catch the baby. This often leads to some hilarious fails, courtesy of the over-the-top ragdoll physics we have become accustomed to in these ‘simulator’ titles.

With a number of modes at play, including one where the baby seems to mutate into some poison-throwing zombie, attacking the parent, there’s no shortage of mayhem to unfold. If you wish to bling out your parent or baby, there are also a number of skins to access.

Further key features of the game also include:

  • A beautiful two-story home and garden for you to watch over your son in
  • Over 67 everyday items with more or less ominous potential
  • Wacky physics for you to play around with
  • Customizable game modes, play the way you want to!
  • Two unique characters with customizable skins and perks
  • Randomized locations of crucial items, every game is different!
  • Dynamic music and sound for maximum immersion
  • Play with up to 7 of your friends online or locally
  • Controller support
  • Available for PC, Mac, Steam OS and Xbox

Who’s Your Daddy is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as it develops through the Xbox Game Preview program – you can find it over on the Xbox Store for £4.19, with a free trial also in place. The game is also available on PC, through platforms such as Steam.

Game Description:

This game is a work in progress. It may or may not change over time or release as a final product. Purchase only if you are comfortable with the current state of the unfinished game. Who’s Your Daddy?! is a casual asymmetric multiplayer game featuring a clueless father attempting to prevent his infant son from certain death. Play with up to 7 of your friends online (up to 4 player split-screen), and test your parenting skills in a competitive setup with wacky physics and over 67 potentially ominous household items.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
