It’s been a long time coming, but finally we are getting the chance to discover the strength of street life as Streets of Rage 4 launches on Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Some 25 years since the last iteration of the Streets of Rage franchise hit home, Streets of Rage 4 has been created and pushed out by the teams at Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games, to ensure a safe return of the much loved, highly iconic beat’ em up series.
Streets of Rage 4 sees the reunited trio of Axel, Blaze and Adam working their way through the mean streets of Wood Oak City, cracking skulls and kicking back against foes as they go. With a stunning hard drawn art style in place, all new scenarios to enjoy and an original soundtrack from Olivier Derivière combining massive contributions from series composers Yūzō Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima, there is quite obviously much to love about Streets of Rage 4.
Priced at £20.99 or available as a free download to subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass scheme, Streets of Rage 4 also includes an intriguing Battle Mode; a legacy experience that is found returning from Streets of Rage 2 and 3. This feud-settling battleground is certainly going to appeal to those who are looking to become Wood Oak City’s finest alley-clearing ruffian, as well as be able to settle grudges spurred by accidental friendly strikes during multiplayer sessions.
