Prepare yourself for the most epic of online naval battles, as World of Warships: Legends gets ready to hit the Xbox One and PS4 waves.

Coming direct from Wargaming – those behind the awesome World of Tanks – is World of Warships: Legends, which does, as you may well expect, pretty much as the title states.

This will see you given the opportunity to experience epic naval action in a massively multiplayer online game where you can master the seas in history’s greatest warships! Recruit legendary commanders from maritime history, upgrade your vessels, and stake your claim to naval supremacy with or against players around the world in thrilling and immersive battles.

Getting set for an Early Access period on consoles from April 16th 2019, World of Warships: Legends will gear up for that Xbox One and PS4 launch by allowing potential sailors the opportunity to embark on a new voyage – one of Closed Beta from March 22nd-24th 2019.

There were more than 200,000 battles fought during the first Closed Beta weekend, and Wargaming are looking for players to smash that record again. In order to do so, you’ll need to register at wowslegends.com, to then be in with a chance to participate in the final round of Closed Beta testing from March 22-24. The latest version of Legends will be found boasting new content and features like the British nation, 14 more ships, revamped lighting effects, plus Russian and French language support.

By registering at the official World of Warships: Legends website, you will also get access to a treasure trove of in-game rewards at launch, including Premium Currency, Boosters and special customization items.

From there on out, Wargaming hope that is is plain sailing from Beta to Early Access, and after the Closed Beta weekend has ended, a selection of special Founder’s Packs will be available from both the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store, with the World of Warships: Legends Premium, Deluxe, and Ultimate packages offering three different tiers of content. These will allow the early adopters up to two months of Premium time and four rare, powerful warships included.

When World of Warships: Legends releases on the 16th April 2019, the development team at Wargaming St. Petersburg are hoping to have even more epic content available. Players will be able to wage wars across five new maps, and enjoy stunning oceanic vistas with glorious HDR support on Xbox One X and PS4, whilst full 4K support will be available later in the summer.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to bring the naval combat enjoyed by millions of players around the world on mobile and PC to PlayStation®4 and Xbox One,” said Daniil Volkov, Head of Development at Wargaming St. Petersburg. “We have introduced a substantial number of console-exclusive features to World of Warships: Legends, which we hope will add new dimensions to the series, whilst preserving the core gameplay that players know and love.”

World of Warships: Legends is being built from the ground-up with console gamers in mind and this will ensure that full advantage of the power and capabilities of the current generation of home consoles is taken. With faster and more exhilarating combat, more options to develop your commanders, a revamped user interface, intuitive new controls, and console-exclusive content, this is an experience that can only be possible on Xbox One and PS4.

World of Warships: Legends is charting a course for full release on Xbox One and PS4 later on in 2019. Will you be one of the many set to join this voyage?
