Zero sun, maximum fun – Arcade Paradise is coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC

Want to be whisked back in time to the golden age of the arcade? Wired Productions and Nosebleed Interactive (they behind Vostok Inc.) will allow you just that when they drop the 1990s styled adventure management game, Arcade Paradise to console and PC.

Coming in the spring of 2022, Arcade Paradise will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC to provide gamers looking for zero sun but maximum fun the chance to revel.

Coming in both digital and physical fashion, Arcade Paradise is a ’90s-fuelled retro arcade adventure. It sees you playing as Ashley, as you discover that your father, Gerald (voiced by The Witcher’s Geralt, Doug Cockle), has gone to the Riviera and given you the keys to his laundry business, leaving you to run the tedious day-to-day events. But who wants to wash all day and so rather than washing rags for a living, you decide to turn the family laundromat into the ultimate arcade.

From there you’ll get the chance to play, profit and purchase new arcade machines, with over 35 to choose from, with them all inspired by a generation of arcade games from the ’80s and ’90s. Arcade Paradise will feature newly created ‘classics’ such as Knuckles and Knees, Zombat 2, Woodgals Adventure, Vostok 2093, Gravichase and the bodacious Racer Chaser in FULL 3D and many more.

As you would expect to hear, Arcade Paradise will come with some insane graphics (at least for the time), the chance to experience skull shaking extreme stereo sound as you smash your rivals, dominate high score tables and, ultimately, to become a legend. But in amongst all that, you’ll still need to keep a close eye on the laundromat.

Available to wishlist on Steam right now, Arcade Paradise is coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X, and Xbox One during Spring 2022. And should you wish to pre-order the physical version on Switch or PlayStation, will find it packed with a folded double-sided poster, graffiti sticker set, reversable King Wash sleeve and digital EP download. Expect to pay around £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99 for the PlayStation copies and £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 for Nintendo Switch. The Wired Store will sort you out.

What do you think? Is the draw of the arcade something you’ll be looking to take in? The comments are below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
