-

It’s been a big week for 1979 Revolution: Black Friday. First it was released on PS4, then it dropped on Nintendo Switch. Now though we’re seeing the full set completed with an Xbox One launch.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, 1979 Revolution: Black Friday is a game that is based on true stories and the historical events which hit Iran in 1978.

Immersing you into the turbulent real-world events of the Iranian uprising, Black Friday has been written, directed and created by one Navid Khonsari, a game dev who left Iran with his family after the revolution. Accused by Iranian officials of being a US spy due to his work with the game, you’ll find that this is an experience that deals with choice and consequence like no other.

Playing the role of a photojournalist, it will be up to you to explore the world around you, taking photos, picking up collectables and unlocking more than 80 unique stories that are based on true events surrounding the Iranian revolution.

A visual style that deals with motion captured animation and a stunning voice over that will make you sit back and really consider your actions, if you’re after something deep, then 1979 Revolution: Black Friday is quite possibly it.

The Xbox Store will ensure that a download can be had should you pay up the £9.59 requested, and as mentioned earlier, those on Switch and PS4 can also now get hold of a copy too.

If you want a review – we can sort you out with that!
