Being created as a prequel to The New Order allowed MachineGames to almost treat Wolfenstein: The Old Blood as an origin story for the hero, B.J. Blazkowicz.
It’s time for a slightly more modern take on a Wolfenstein adventure as the latest iteration takes us to an alternate reality version of Paris in the ‘80s. Forget playing as BJ Blazkowicz, as his kickass twin daughters take the limelight for some co-op action in Wolfenstein: Youngblood. And they’re gunning for those darn Nazis!
If you were to play Wolfenstein: The New Order today in 2019, you’d be hard pushed to believe that you were playing a game that was already five years old.
With the new month fast approaching, Xbox Game Pass members are on tenterhooks to find out what additions are heading into the ever-expanding library in May 2019. Well, the wait is now over as a whopping eight titles have been announced for next month and there are some absolutely stellar games amongst the pack.
Always wanted to take in a Wolfenstein adventure with a mate? Well, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC this July and thanks to a cooperative Buddy Pass, playing through things will be easier than ever.
For my second interview at Yorkshire Games Festival 2019 (you can read the first here), I had the opportunity to pick the brains of Andreas Öjerfors, senior game designer at Machinegames about his time on the Wolfenstein series to date, and an insight into the future.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was one of the best games to release in 2017, so with the knowledge that we’d be getting even more content this time around thanks to The Freedom Chronicles Season Pass, it’s fair to say that many of us were quite excited for the future of the game. Unfortunately, the DLC up to now hasn’t quite brought us the same high level of quality that we enjoyed within the base game. Despite Agent Silent Death bringing a vast improvement over the opening content piece, it’s still going to take something amazing from The Deeds of Captain Wilkins to stop The Freedom Chronicles Season Pass from being a complete step in the wrong direction. So does it meet the expectations?
After an uninspiring start to Wolfenstein II’s The Freedom Chronicles with the disappointing Adventures of Gunslinger Joe, it’s time to head back in with another adventure. But can the Gunslinger Joe adventures be improved upon with a strong showing from the second content drop in The Diaries of Agent Silent Death?
We've taken in the Adventures of Gunslinger Joe, and enjoyed the Diaries of Agent Silent Death. Now though there's a new DLC addition to the awesome Wolfenstein II available, and this time we get to check out The Deeds of Captain Wilkins.
