Darren Edwards

I have been playing games since a very early age, thanks to my Dad's encouragement. I've been an Xbox gamer since the very beginning, the Master Chief is to thank for that. I'm also a big Nintendo geek, and my other half is a PlayStation nut. I'll play pretty much anything in any genre (although FIFA and COD maybe pushing it).

Slave Zero X Review

Slave Zero X will certainly put a smile on the face of those who played the original in the late '90s, and oozes a distinct biopunk style.

Freedom Planet 2 Review

Freedom Planet 2 evokes so much of what makes a great platformer, but feels a little bloated in parts.

Turbo Golf Racing Review

You'll really enjoy what Turbo Golf Racing offers, and it is perfect for shorter gaming sessions.

The Mobius Machine Review

Despite nothing in particular wowing in The Mobius Machine, that won't stop you from playing until the very end.

Dicey Dungeons Reunion Rolls out Free DLC Update

You had me at “giant walking dice”. That’s right, Dicey Dungeons is back with a brand new update, out today, which once again welcomes back the six sided spotted gambling cubes to another action packed game show. The Jackbox Party Starter Review

The Jackbox Party Starter does a great job of introducing players to the party game phenomenon. The choice of games is bang on, and it provides more than enough to help people decide if this is a series they want to party on with.

Spacelines from the Far Out Review

Despite not being the most complex management game, Spacelines from the Far Out offers a well rounded experience that is easy to dip in and out of. This is one trip you will be happy to hold a season ticket for.

You could argue that R-Type defined the traditional side-scrolling arcade shooter.

Looking Back to 1997 with Star Fox 64 (Lylat Wars)

For me there’s still no question about it, Star Fox 64 was and still remains the best entry in the series - even better than the mighty Starwing before it.

Thunder Kid II: Null Mission Review

Thunder Kid II: Null Mission is plain lazy. Its gimmick is still not enough to build a game around, because that’s already been tried once before and hasn’t worked. As a result this one is null and void.

Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover Review

Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover’s core issues remain since the first outing, but some small improvements have been made. Despite this, on balance it will take a lot more to make this a game to recommend.

Released on the cheeky hog’s very own birthday, Sonic Origins has arrived in digital form only, bringing the classic titles, Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD to current-gen platforms.

Turbo Golf Racing has some staggering potential

I really enjoyed my time with the second Turbo Golf Racing Beta. The sport lends itself to the arcade genre and the colourful, quick fire gameplay works well. I’m interested to see how deep Hugecalf Studios can make the experience because this is a game which has a lot of potential.

With TEN - Ten Rooms, Ten Seconds you know exactly what you’re getting - a fast paced platformer that puts your reflexes to the test. It’s an enjoyable, no frills ride while it lasts.

Moo Lander Review

Moo Lander has a unique theme and a certain charm about it, but the thinly stretched ideas mean it doesn’t take too long for this one to turn a little sour.
