Games move in and out of Game Pass

It’s the end of the month, the Halloween season is in full flow and Game Pass is continuing to provide a wealth of gaming goodness to Xbox and PC players. Today some big changes are afoot in the world of Game Pass, with new games arriving and even more being stripped out.

Game Pass subscribers are well used to seeing games pop in and out of the subscription service on a regular basis. Barely a week goes by when some change doesn’t occur, whether that be new games added to the scheme, or older ones taken away. And that is never more prominent than on the last day of each month – it’s the big Game Pass switcheroo…

October 31st sees a number of changes, some good, more bad. But it does allow the addition of one of the most anticipated games of the year, with a DON’T NOD climbing adventure front and centre. There’s also a brand new take on the Battle Royale scene, as no less than five games shift out.

Coming in to Game Pass

Jusant

Jusant is the legendary DON’T NOD’s latest adventure – and this one is all about going up.

A mysterious climbing adventure, it’s up to you to use the tools at your disposal in order to reach new heights. And Jusant is set up perfectly in that regard, with a climbing mechanic that is near faultless.

With a little companion buddy hiding away in your backpack, and plenty of secrets to discover, Jusant is a game that you should be playing, near immediately.

Our full review is coming, but it’s safe to say that this one climbing all new heights.

Headbangers Rhythm Royale

Remember how the Battle Royale scene took the world by storm a few years back? Mostly shooters, PUBG and Fortnite were crowned champs. Since then, developers have tried to play with the formula, with varying levels of success.

Glee-Cheese and Team17 have seemingly stumbled upon a great idea in Headbangers Rhythm Royale. See, discarding guns and forgoing violence, this one places you in the role of a little headbanging pigeon, getting down to the beat.

Working your way through various mini-games, your task is to prove yourself as top pigeon, taking down twenty-nine other pigeons across a variety of rounds. With music and the feel of the beat at the fore, this could well be the new Royale take we need. The fact that Headbangers Rhythm Royale is a Game Pass Day One debutant makes it all the more exciting.

Leaving the service

For the two new additions to Game Pass, we must say goodbye to a number of older games. These have mostly been kicking around behind the subscription paywall for a good few months, so chances are you’ll have played them by now.

If not, it’s time to finish up your saves, or consider opening the wallet and splashing some cash. You see, Gunfire Reborn, Kill It With Fire, Persona 5 Royal, Signalis and Solasta Crown of the Magister all get removed as October ends.

Will you be missing any of them? Let us know in the comments.

So what’s next up for Game Pass?

November promises to provide a host of new opportunities for Game Pass players. Football Manager 2024 will be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Dungeons 4 are confirmed for after that.

We’ll be sure to bring you the latest runners and riders from the Game Pass scene as soon as they set off.

In the meantime, get into the comments. Will you be banging heads or climbing high first?
