Become RoboCop on Xbox, PlayStation, PC

It seems like a no-brainer really. There should be a great RoboCop game out there – the films demand it. Thankfully that’s what we are getting as RoboCop: Rogue City on Xbox, PlayStation and PC releases to the world.

Available right now to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC players is RoboCop: Rogue City. A creation of Teyon, pushed along by their friends at Nacon, this is quite possibly the RoboCop game we have been looking for.

RoboCop is back!

It places you in the metal shoes of the part-man, part-machine, all-cop RoboCop. All as you look to help Old Detroit overcome its crime issues. With the mega-corp of Omni Consumer Products overseeing your actions, it’ll be up to you to take it to the crims and get the city back on a level footing. And because you are RoboCop, you have all the tools you would ever need…

In RoboCop: Rogue City you get to take control of the iconic cybercop. Why? Well, to lead the fight against the new crime lord ravaging Old Detroit. Conducting the investigation as you see fit, you’ll try to uncover the secrets behind the murky “Afterlife” project. In order to do so, you’ll need to rely on your trusty Auto 9, your special skills, your cyborg strength and your detective skills to restore order, and protect the citizens of Old Detroit.

We’ve been playing through RoboCop: Rogue City and have had a seriously good time with it. In fact, our review is up, live and ready for your viewing, with a top rated score found at the end of it. Surely that is enough to tempt you in?

Key features of RoboCop: Rogue City on Xbox

  • Uphold the law by any means necessary: With your powerful Auto-9 or one of the other 20 weapons available, eradicate criminals throughout this explosive first-person adventure. Your cyborg strength and cybernetic abilities can be upgraded as you progress, to make you an even more formidable law enforcement officer.
  • It’s up to you to decide how to fulfil your prime directives: Explore open areas and complete your objectives according to your own sense of justice. Finding evidence, interrogating suspects and maintaining public order are just some of your daily tasks as a police officer. But don’t take decisions lightly: your choices can determine the fate of citizens and the result of your mission.
  • An original story set in the world of RoboCop: The city of Old Detroit has been hit by a crime wave, with a new enemy threatening the peace and order. Your investigation leads you right into the heart of a shadowy conspiracy in an original story that takes place between RoboCop 2 and 3, with striking locations to explore and familiar faces to meet. Peter Weller, the original RoboCop actor, is even back on duty to voice the cybercop.

Play now!

If that is indeed the case, then you can get in on the action today. And yes, that is ahead of the official street release. See, RoboCop: Rogue City comes in a couple of flavours – the Standard Edition of which will release on November 2nd.

Ahead of that though is RoboCop: Rogue City – Alex Murphy Edition. Priced at £59.99, this provides immediate early access, some two days ahead of standard. It also adds in the OCP shotgun, some cosmetics and a digital artbook. We think it is the better of the two versions available.

The Xbox Store will provide you with a download of RoboCop: Rogue City on Xbox Series X|S. Just hit the bold links above once you’ve decided on your course of action.

You’ll also find the game on PlayStation 5 and PC. RoboCop: Rogue City is not playable on Xbox One
