It ushered in a new era of shooting and looting but now Borderlands 2 is free to download – at least if you’re the owner of an Xbox Live Gold membership.
Usually available for £19.99, Borderlands 2 has been stripped of its price tag for the next couple of weeks thanks to being offered as part of the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for March 2017. That means as long as you own a valid Gold sub, you can download the game for nothing before the 16th March 2017. As a native Xbox 360 title tat is making the most of the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility feature, you can play the game on either console.
If you haven’t played it before, then it’s a hugely addictive shooter that just has to be played. In fact, it’s one of the best Xbox 360 games ever and whether you play alone, or with friends, the wonderful Borderlands universe will draw you in forever more. Oh, and you’ll meet up with one of the best villains ever too…Handsome Jack.
