Choice matters in the sci-fi medieval world of The Last Oricru

Whether you decide to play as a solo adventurer or prefer to team up with others for the ultimate cooperative experience, in The last Oricru you’ll discover that choices really do matter.

Dropping you deep into a sci-fi medieval world, The Last Oricru plays out as an action-RPG, one in which you’ll be found traversing the lands of an abandoned planet. At least, it’s abandoned aside from the ongoing conflict that is taking place; a conflict that you’ll look to influence.

It’s priced at £34.99 and will see you making the most of the usual action-RPG tropes. Levelling up is standard fare, improving your skills even more so. And yes, expect to not just find yourself going up against and taking on all manner of grunts, but in The Last Oricru a host of boss fights will also come to the fore. You best get those skills on point.

The Last Oricru should well be a pretty challenging affair, but with that comes plenty of reward. Melee attacks, ranged shots, the firing of magic and even keeping an eye on weight management will all take place in The Last Oricru, as will a decision tree of massive proportions. See, every little action in The Last Oricru will have a reaction, affecting the narrative and characters, the game endings and more. We’re particularly looking forward to seeing how those decisions change up the visuals of the game.

The Last Oricru is possibly going to be one of those must play title, no matter whether you do that alone or with a friend through the cooperative options in hand. Go and grab a copy from the Xbox Store for Xbox Series X|S (or the digital stores for PlayStation and PC) and find out how this one plays for yourself.

The Last Oricru is on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Our full is incoming. There is no Xbox One or PS4 love here I’m afraid.

Game Description:

The Last Oricru is a story-driven action RPG, that puts you in the middle of an ongoing conflict between two races, on a partly terraformed planet, isolated from outer space by a protective barrier. Your decisions will bring interesting twists into the gameplay, as you can heavily influence the conflict and its outcome. You will experience hundreds of intense fights in a brutal medieval meets sci-fi world, where every decision has its consequences. Level up your hero, improve your skills before facing one of many boss fights and get ready for an unprecedented amount of possibilities. Face your enemies alone or with a friend in split-screen- or online coop.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
