Day/Night cycle, bus swapping and new United States map among the Bus Simulator 21 enhancements

You’ll pretty much know whether Bus Simulator 21 is going to be for you or not just through the title. But if you are one of the many who are looking forward to the release of astragon Entertainment and stillalive Studios’ bus sim, you’ll no doubt be extremely pleased to hear that the 2021 variant promises a host of enhancements over that which came previously – with a full day/night cycle, hot bus swapping and a brand new United States map in and amongst the new features.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with playability on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 too, Bus Simulator 21 looks to follow on from that of Bus Simulator to deliver new features and more freedom than ever before. And the most key of those new ideas are shown off brilliantly in the latest trailer.

Due to launch on September 7th 2021, Bus Simulator 21 will see you creating the ultimate public transport company, as you deal with the most extensive fleet of buses in the series history, with officially licensed brands and highly detailed vehicles at the fore of the matter.

It’ll be the fictional lands of the US metropolis Angel Shores and the European-inspired Seaside Valley which will play host to Bus Simulator 21 as you get the opportunity to show your driving skills, leading your new company to the ultimate success.

Single player and multiplayer modes will be present and in the latter you and up to 3 other players will be able to operate cooperatively, planning routes, buying new buses and travelling the world together.

But there’s more and Bus Simulator 21 brings about new options. A full day and night cycle will let players create individual detailed schedules and routes, optimising them as they see fit. And there will also be the choice between driving any buses for yourself, or delegating matters to an employed AI driver. In fact, you could even put yourself in the shoes of that dreaded ticket inspector should you so desire.

“We’re extremely excited to present players with the next iteration of our Bus Simulator series. Our passionate community has made a number of suggestions on how to improve the game and we have integrated many of them into this title; especially around the cooperative experience. This is just a taste of the changes we’ve made and we can’t wait to show you more in the coming months before launch!”

The key features of Bus Simulator 21 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC through Steam will include:

  • Co-op multiplayer mode for up to 4 players
  • Get behind the wheels of numerous officially licensed buses by world-famous brands – including city buses, articulated buses, e-buses and a double-decker
  • Manage your bus company together as a team on two huge maps based on US and European cities
  • Improved open-world approach with even more freedom for the players
  • Immersive day and night cycle complete with AI drivers on your scheduled routes
  • Manage your vehicle fleet, bus lines and detailed time tables together as a team
  • Cross-generation multiplayer on consoles

If the bus life is looking likely to be one for you, hold tight until September 7th 2021. We’ll be sure to let you know when you can embark on this new journey. For now make sure you check out the latest Bus Simulator 21 multiplayer trailer.
