If you can remember back to September 2019 then you may well remember the launch of DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition. It’s a game that provided an intense and brooding atmosphere, some exceptional sound design, and a horror story that was highly effective. Pretty much sets things up nicely for the new launch of DISTRAINT 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch then, doesn’t it?
Available to purchase and download this very instant, DISTRAINT 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch is the latest cheap title to come about via the team at Ratalaika Games, as they publish Finnish indie dev, Jesse Makkonen’s unique atmospheric horror experience. And once more the £6.99 asking price pretty much makes it one to seriously consider.
Working as a side scroller that builds on what came before it, DISTRAINT 2 should well appeal to fans of the previous game, whilst still being able to deliver a decently intriguing story that is full of twists, turns, and numerous characters. With a lovely hand-drawn art atyle, atmospheric sound, and the chance to hunt down the many secrets of the sinister tale it provides, there really is, on the face of it, little to not like.
- * Side-scrolling 2D with unique, hand-drawn graphics

- * Includes brief summary of DISTRAINT 1
