Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition races onto Xbox One and Series X|S

A staple of the Nintendo Switch racing scene, the Gear.Club franchise has always been one to fascinate us Xbox players. Now thought we get to experience it for real with the launch of Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Announced in September as coming to PC and consoles soon, Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition has now rocked up onto the Xbox Store, giving players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S another racing option.

This one comes priced at £33.49 and goes up against the recent adrenaline-bringers of Forza Horizon 5 and Hot Wheels Unleashed to fill out the racing market ever more. Promising to be ‘only for hardened drivers’, we’re certainly expecting this to be on the more competitive end of the scale as opposed to the ‘fun’ that Hot Wheels brings.

4K visuals are promised, as is full optimisation for Xbox Series X|S and 60fps gameplay. There’s Smart Delivery in the house too, meaning that no matter which Xbox console you play on, you’ll have the best experience available to you, all for one asking price.

From there, upwards of 250 races should be found within, as will a ton of the most legendary vehicles including that of Porsche. A Career mode will keep you busy for the short term, but then it’ll be the multiplayer side of things which fast takes over, as Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition brings together the finest – and not so finest – Xbox racers for glory taking opportunities.

Obviously it goes without saying that the ‘Club’ aspect of Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition is one that should see some real focus too.

We’re not sure Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition is going to take the racing crown away from Forza Horizon 5, but we’ll be sure to get some hands on time and provide our most honest thoughts as to how this one plays out on Xbox in the days ahead. Keep an eye out for it.

In the meantime, grab a copy of Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Ultimate Edition from the Xbox Store for yourself. You should be finding this on other PC and console storefronts as well.

Game Description:

After a 3-year success on Nintendo Switch, Gear.Club Unlimited 2 comes roaring on Xbox, only for hardened drivers!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. I purchased the digital version for my Series X earlier today, anxious to play it on my Logitech G920 wheel set up . But, was completely let down when i found that it’s for a gamepad/controller only. Had hi hopes, but dont need another racing that’s not wheel compatible. I have nearly $1,400 invested on my race set up. I had to request a refund unfortunately
