We know what we want from a BBQ Simulator on Xbox. But we’re not sure BBQ Simulator: The Squad on Xbox is that game. We’re willing to give it a try though.Â
Think BBQ and you think relaxing in your garden on a summer’s day with friends, drink flowing, food cooking. We’re sure those elements exist somewhere in BBQ Simulator: The Squad as it releases on Xbox, but there’s a whole ton more going on too.
When we say ‘ton more’, we mean just that. Watch the trailer on the Xbox Store and you’ll find bears, cooking in space and Anime girls on fire. That’s not what we expected from our BBQ Simulator.Â
Embrace the fire
Go in and embrace the quirk though and BBQ Simulator: The Squad on Xbox may well appeal. This one comes from the CubeCube Sports team, as they push it out to market with an £8.39 price tag in tow. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised for the latter.
In BBQ Simulator: The Squad you’ll get the opportunity to unleash your inner BBQ master. Grilling, cooking, tossing and more, it’ll be up to you to create the best damn dish you possibly can, all whilst BBQ-themed mishaps are found taking place. And don’t expect that cooking to be limited to the back garden either, creating and running your own BBQ restaurant seems to be the ultimate goal.
With a clock ticking down, the BBQ explosion that is promised in BBQ Simulator: The Squad on Xbox is sure to excite. And much of that will obviously come from the weird and wonderful challenges that are present.
