Promising a rich narrative, the opportunity to build an army and to craft and develop characters, Rise Eterna launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. If you’re one who harks back to the 16-bit glory days when Japanese strategy titles were at the fore, this is one to certainly consider.

Rise Eterna is available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, pushed out to the world via the Makee and Forever Entertainment teams (the latter previously being behind NO THING and Q-YO Blaster). It sees gamers following the story and life of Lua, as we get to take in the mysteries that surround her origins, all whilst playing out as a tactical RPG that has been heavily influenced by the games of yesteryear.

Priced at £16.74 from the Xbox Store, the ultimate goal in Rise Eterna is to become the champion of the Ars Rare Kingdom, but as you would suspect, that won’t be an easy task. In fact, it’s going to be pretty tricky as you attempt to fight off your worst nightmare in some epic battles.

Thankfully you should well have the tools to let you succeed. There are 14 characters to recruit for a start, and each of those come with their own unique abilities and feature sets. The chance to then develop and upgrade those folk using collected gems is also present. There should also be a decent enough reason to get involved in everything that Rise Eterna has to offer too , with a deep, dark, mature storyline and narrative looking to unfold.

The key features will include:

  • 14 characters and countless personalization possibilities. Learn skills, recruit unique heroes, and prepare them for battle.
  • Develop your characters using gems, crafted with numerous ingredients looted during battles.
  • Experience and share critical moments of Lua and Natheal’s life.
  • Will you be able to find all the hidden characters and challenges? Search everywhere and become the unquestionable champion of “Ars Rare kingdom”.

We’ll get a review of Rise Eterna on Xbox out there as soon as we can. You can join us by heading to the Xbox Store and taking home a download right now.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
