There’s nothing new about being given the chance to head out on a new puzzling adventure, but with Lanternium from Victory Road, the difference is you’ll be doing it as a raccoon, as you attempt to traverse a fantastical world full of anthropomorphic characters.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Lanternium has been created by those over at Blazing Planet Studio, before being pushed out to the Xbox One masses through the team at Victory Road – they previously behind the launches of Oliver’s Adventures in the Fairyland and Rune Lord. And if you’re after a new adventure which will tax the mind a little, this could well be one to consider.
Priced at just £4.19, Lanternium sees you taking charge of a raccoon who is intent on finding out who is behind the disappearance of his favourite chocolate cookies, working through a tangled web of intrigue in the process. Taking place in a world that is not just family friendly, but also filled with many other animals, it’ll be up to you to work your magic by moving blocks, playing with colour, and ensuring that your little raccoon’s journey is a safe one.
Lanternium is however sold on the back of being one of ‘those’ games – those that are super easy to learn, but highly challenging to fully master. And with a variety of different obstacles and mazes to manoeuvre your way through, it’s easy to see why.
But don’t let that put you off. If you’re in the market for a new puzzling adventure and reckon this world full of animals is one that you can see yourself enjoying, then the Xbox Store will sort you out with the download required. We’ll no doubt have a full review of Lanternium on Xbox One for you at some point too – keep an eye out for that if you wish to know more about how Lanternium plays out.
