F1 is back – both in real-world and virtual form – as Codemasters drop the latest, and possibly, greatest F1 gaming experience yet. Want to enjoy the glitz, the glamour, and the glory of the fastest form of motorsport? F1 2020 is here.

Available to purchase and download right this minute on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia via the stunning Deluxe Schumacher Edition, F1 2020 promises to see the team at Codemasters come together for the best F1 experience yet, delivering new features, hard racing, and the chance to fully immerse yourself into the wonderful world of Formula One motor racing.

Priced at £64.99 from the Xbox Store, the F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition brings fans of the sport a few additional goodies, most notably that of three days early access over the Standard Edition and Seventy Edition, and the inclusion of some of the most famous of Michael Schumacher cars – the 1991 Jordan 191, his 1994 Benetton B194 and the 1995 Benetton B195, alongside the 2000 Ferrari F1-2000. You’ll also be granted access to some Schumacher suits, helmet designs and car liveries. That means the usual street date of 10th July 2020 can be knocked on the head should you wish to pay for early access, giving you a headstart on the rest of the online world in your quest to become the F1 2020 world champion. If you don’t want to pay up, that Standard Edition will be available to purchase from the 10th July on all formats.

So what does F1 2020 bring? Well, as you would expect, it’s the on-track racing which if the major draw here, and Codemasters promise to let you join the full 2020 roster of teams and drivers as they head around the world, nailing the apexes of the iconic tracks such as Monaco and Silverstone, alongside the chance for us to experience the circuit newbies like Circuit Zandvoort and the new Hanoi Circuit in Vietnam. Of course, you could also attempt to prove your worth as the next Valtteri Bottas and take the chequered flag at the Red Bull Ring should you so wish. Just expect the racing to be as manic as the latest real-world race. Hopefully with less penalties.

But it also aims to ensure you get fully immersed with the whole F1 experience by providing a couple of Career options, and alongside the chance to join one of the teams and be thrust headlong into the madness of a full season, the new My Team will provide a new take on matters with driver-manager features, a driver market and the opportunity to upgrade your own team facilities. It is the off-track decisions you make which will really dictate whether or not you have what it takes to compete in F1 2020.

Throw in one-off races, challenges, online and splitscreen multiplayer, and a level of visual and audio replication that is rarely seen, and you’ve got the lot with F1 2020.

Our full review of F1 2020 on Xbox One is also live, so make sure you give that a little read. If you’re a fan of the F1 scene and need a new racer to enjoy, then it’s odds on that Codies have provided the goods once again. The real question though, is whether or not they’ve topped the brilliance they provided with F1 2019. Spoiler alert: They have.

If you wish to pick up a copy of F1 2020 for yourself then the Xbox Store will sort out Xbox One players. It is there where you’ll find the Deluxe Schumacher Edition for £64.99, followed by the Standard Edition and Seventy Editions come the 10th July. Those on PS4, PC and Google Stadia should also have the same access. And should you prefer to hold tight, to then consider the Schumacher Edition DLC or Seventy Edition DLC at a further date, each of those are available as add-ons for £11.24 and £3.99 respectively.
