It seems like that cyberpunk love-in is still alive and kicking though, with the latest, Sense - A Cyberpunk Ghost Story, attempting to draw players in once more.Â
VirtuaVerse has made a bit of a name for itself over on PC, with Steam reviews sitting in the Very Positive range. Now though it's time for that same game to make a move on console, with Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players being given the opportunity to take in the cyberpunk vibe and point-and-clicking actions of VirtuaVerse.Â
It's been more than 12 months since the super slick cyberpunk shooting of FORECLOSED was first revealed, but finally it's time for Merge Games and Antab Studios to shine as their game launches on console and PC.Â
Once upon a time, at least six months ago for instance, it was all the rage to be found running a cyberpunk route. But then things went awry, Cyberpunk 2077 utterly failed to live up to the hype of most talked about game ever, and the whole scene began to die down. But that's not stopping PQube from muscling in on the idea once more, delivering players the chance to take in a cyberpunk fuelled world of Quantum Replica.
Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches, but there’s not much else going on in terms of new games to delve into. Don’t worry though, for our weekly podcast still has plenty of juicy news from the world of gaming, such as the Ratchet & Clank release date and the shocking incident involving Cyberpunk developers CD Projekt Red. We've got some interesting games to discuss in TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 67 as well, including Yakuza 4 and Train Sim World 2.
Over the course of the last few years, there has been one word that has dominated the gaming scene - Cyberpunk. Whether that be CD Projekt Red's blockbusting open world of Cyberpunk 2077, or the slew of smaller titles that have arrived on the back of it, it's something that has raised the interest in many. There's another on the horizon though and today Sold Out and Ape Tribe Games have detailed and dated their cyberpunk-y stealth-action RPG, Disjunction. It's coming very soon too.
Ultimately, the tale of Cyberpunk 2077 has yet to be completed, and it is beyond possible that within a year's time, it will be at the top of the WRPG pantheon with Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim and The Witcher 3.
So, Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox. This is a game I had been looking forward to for what seems like a lifetime, and it was never going to live up to the high expectations that CD Projekt Red, I or the world as a whole has been putting on it. It's a great RPG, but at the same time it doesn't do anything grounding breaking in terms of style and gameplay. Yes it has bugs, there is an annoying UI and I can’t ignore the mission stutters, but similarly it's a game that I constantly think back to when I’m not gaming, looking forward to my next deep session with it.

As such, TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 60 covers all the goings on from The Game Awards, including the winning titles and the shed load of reveals that occurred. Oh, and there’s talk about a low-key, newly released game called Cyberpunk 2077 too!
