There’s a new addition to the Game Pass service

We love the Game Pass service. Not just because of the sheer number of games it allows us to play, but because it gives access to titles that would not normally be our bag. It’s that which comes to the fore today with the latest addition to Game Pass. Fancy playing through a STORY OF SEASONS on Game Pass?

What is Game Pass?

Should you have a Game Pass subscription then today is a good day. See, one of the most loved of gaming franchises hits the scheme, playable across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. And whilst that addition may not quite be the most up-to-date of series options, it’s one that should be played nonetheless.

On the back of the release of STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life sees another game from the series get added to Game Pass. This one first released back in 2021 on Xbox, and so timings feel about right for Game Pass inclusion. That game? STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town.

A STORY OF SEASONS Tale

We reviewed STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town back in 2021, plastering a 3.5/5 review score over it. We spoke highly of the solid and enjoyable remake of a Harvest Moon classic. But then, the incredibly dated feels dropped it down a notch or two. Still – “If you’ve somehow grown sick of Stardew Valley, then this might be the next distraction to satisfy that farming itch.”

STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town will usually set you back £34.99 from the Xbox Store. But now you can play it through Game Pass, all for just the usual subscription price. It’s playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

If you have recently found love in the series via A Wonderful Life, we would urge you to give STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town a shot on Game Pass. Let us know in the comments if you do.

More Game Pass movers

So what’s next for Game Pass subscribers? Well, the end of any month sees a number of games get ripped from the service. That is the case for June. In fact, you’ll find all of the following upping and leaving on June 30th…

There are new additions coming in July though. Arcade Paradise hits on July 3rd and Sword and Fairy: Together Forever comes in on July 5th. Expect more to arrive later in the month.

And don’t forget, only yesterday we saw a double drop of debut games hit Game Pass too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
