Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite brings virtual jigsaw puzzling to Xbox

Puzzletronics Digital Infinite

We’re not sure there’s a developer or publishing team that are able to deliver such cheap games, on such a regular basis, as those from QUByte Interactive. Pretty much popping up onto the Xbox Store with new gaming experiences each and every week, you can be sure of a couple of things from a QUByte game – it’ll be cheap and it’ll be fairly simple. Despite the name, that seems to be the way Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite is going.

Available to purchase and download right now from the Xbox Store for play on Xbox One and/or Xbox Series X|S, Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite is the latest to emerge from the QUByte Interactive team, developed and created by their friends at Naoka Games. Having previously pushed the likes of the Him & Her Collection and a number of ‘classic’ games like The Humans by PIKO, Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite to provide a very different gaming experience.

This one is pretty minimal, working like a jigsaw puzzle in which you must move specific tiles and pieces around a game board, hoping to tick boxes and create the most logical of circuits. Line things up and you’ll be whisked to the next – no doubt with the difficulty ramping up slightly as you go.

Priced at £3.29, this is typical QUByte Interactive territory and for that low price you’re getting access to no less than 135 different levels. Quick maths points to that coming in at less than 3pence per stage – even if you complete each one in ten seconds, that’s not a bad little ratio to overcome.

With no tutorials or handholding, Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite should be the very definition of pick up and play, as you learn what is required of each puzzle as you go. We think it looks great too; clean, crisp and utterly inviting. Whether those initial thoughts go by the wayside as the test ramps up will be another thing, but you can be sure we’ll detail it all in our review.

If you’re up for a little test, fancy spending some pocket money cash on a new game, we’re not sure you could go wrong with Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite. Find it on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Game Description:

Puzzletronics: Digital Infinite is a minimalist jigsaw-puzzle. The player must move the pieces to form logical circuits while listen to a relaxing and calm soundtrack. Challenge yourself through 135 different levels with a variety of difficulty in them, learning the behavior of logical doors and digital logic. The game presents an intuitive gameplay that dispenses tutorials.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
