The game that fuses turn-based tactical combat with real-time exploration, stealth and storytelling has been given a concrete release date. Funcom and The Bearded Ladies have announced that players can venture into the apocalyptic world of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden this December.
On 4th December the strategic adventure of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will mutate into a full release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It’s a game that’s based of the classic Mutant IP, which has spawned a fair few popular role-playing games in pen and paper form since the 1980s – including the latest one, Mutant: Year Zero.
Players must take control of a team of unlikely heroes through the abandoned cities and crumbling highways of a post-human Earth, encountering a variety of mutated monsters along the way. These heroes are intriguing characters such as Dux, a crossbow-wielding, walking, talking duck, and Bormin, a boar with serious anger issues. The ultimate aim in Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is to save yourselves by finding the legendary Eden.
Given that it’s already received several awards and nominations at this year’s E3, there’s definitely reason to get excited for it. Don’t forget, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 4th December, 2018. All that’s left to do is have a watch of the rather strange release date announcement trailer…
