Fans of SOULCALIBUR VI should be pretty hyped as a fair bit of information is coming from Bandai Namco at Gamescom. There’s news about creating your own legend in the second story mode, the first DLC character and the online offering.
Libra of Soul is the other story mode which will accompany the previously revealed Chronicle of Souls mode. Here, players will be able to create their very own custom fighter, using the in-depth character creation tools, before roaming the world in a quest to stop a new evil mastermind at work to gather the Soul Edge shards. There are thousands of different outfits and accessories to wear, with a choice from 16 races including human, lizard or even a reanimated skeleton, as well as decisions to be made about your fighting style, physical features and weaponry.
Throughout Libra of Soul, you’ll come up against both characters from across the main storyline and other custom warriors created by the community, battling in a variety of showdowns with differing rules, all of which shape your own path.
In regards the online side of SOULCALIBUR VI, players can either fight using their own custom characters or anyone from the roster of fighters present. So you’ll be able to clash weapons with other players from all around the world, testing your skills in both casual and ranked matches.
Despite SOULCALIBUR VI not being out yet, there’s already word on the DLC and the bonus character in particular. Those who purchase the Season Pass will receive Tira, the Bird of Death, as a bonus character – who’s also set be sold as stand-alone DLC too. Tira is an expert wielder of her Ring Blade named Eiserne Drossel and she fights using her own Dance of Death style. Trained by the mysterious group of assassins known as the Birds of Passage, Tira abandoned the group after its leader went crazy. Alone and angry, Tira now travels across the world slaughtering anyone that gets in her way, taking great pleasure in the trail of blood left in her wake.
