Everhood Eternity Edition is on Xbox and PlayStation

It may not be Rock Band and it’s about as far away from Guitar Hero as you can get, Everhood Eternity Edition on Xbox and PlayStation will let you explore the boundaries of musical existence.  Ready for an epic adventure into the most unconventional of RPGs?

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox and PlayStation is Everhood Eternity Edition. A creation of those at BlitWorks Games and Foreign Gnomes (a cracking name btw!), Everhood Eternity Edition comes to Xbox and PlayStation as the most complete version of the game yet.

A musical masterpiece

You see, Everhood has already made musical waves on PC and Switch previously. And so it makes sense to mosey on over to the Xbox and PlayStation worlds. And if you’re doing that, you may as well chuck some extra content in too. That’s what is happening with the Eternity Edition.

Including the same deep story, humour, encounters and musical battles as previously, this time around we find Everhood complete with 16 new and exclusive battles. These have been put together by community members, composed by some of the most well-known artists in the indie scene.

New additions!

Those new additions are…

  • Chipzel (original track, she worked on titles like Super Hexagon, Dicey Dungeons and Cadence of Hyrule).
  • David Wise (original track, he worked with Tradewest / Rareware / Rare for many years on titles like Battletoads, the Donkey Kong Country series and more recently with Ratchet and Clank).
  • Manami Matsumae (2 original tracks, she worked on Mega Man, Final Fight, Batman: Return of the Joker, Shovel Knight, and more)
  • Keiji Yamagishi (original track, he worked on Ninja Gaiden, and more recently on The Messenger and Streets of Rage 4).
  • Disasterpeace (original track, he worked on FEZ, Super Meat Boy, Hyper Light Drifter, Reigns, and more).
  • YMCK (2 original tracks, they worked on Taiko no Tatsujin for Wii, PiCTOBiTS for DSiWare and more).
  • Gonzalo Varela (with Destiny from Fight’n Rage).
  • Stefan Moser (with Forgotten Strategy from Slipstream).
  • AceMan (with 2-2N Unreachable from Rhythm Doctor).
  • Evan “Noteblock” Goertzen (with A Dark Tale of Terror from Mago)
  • All-Seeing (with Stress, UFO Remaster and Vs Pixel)

“Both Jordi (Roca) and I started Everhood as a very personal project in 2018 and it has grown so much since then. We really want to thank the community of the game, who supported it to what it has become today. It is a strange game that found its place in many people and I am glad to see this evolution. We are really happy to partner with BlitWorks Games for the Eternity Edition on Xbox and PlayStation versions in collaboration with Juuls Pomeranian and All-Seeing! two talented level designers of the Everhood community alongside 11 brilliant composers, to create a really unique experience that goes beyond what us, as creators, initially envisioned.” – Chris Nordgren

Why play Everhood on Xbox?

But here we are, halfway through a launch article for Everhood Eternity Edition having failed to tell you about the game. So what is it and why should you be playing?

Well, Everhood should be seen as a bizarre realm. Slapbang on the edges of space and time (Dr Who vibes, anyone?), those that frequent the place are seen as a little weird. You see, they are found wandering through castles, partaking in some clubbing and board game action as a little aside. But when a gnome nicks an arm from a wooden doll – Red – a quest starts to play out.

What this means is that in Everhood Eternity Edition on Xbox and PlayStation you’ll be left to take a trip through the doors of perception. From there, letting all kinds of madness unfold. You’ll enjoy musical battles, dodging attacks from others by moving and grooving your way to success. But a narrative will unfold too, whilst various trials and different difficulties will keep you busy. And yes, a New Game Plus will amplify things even more.

Buy now!

A mere £10.49 is all that you need to find if you look to play Everhood Eternity Edition on Xbox. The download is found at the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

If you’re down with a different format, you should be equally well sorted.

Keep an eye out for our review of Everhood Eternity Edition on Xbox soon.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
