Save the Splasher now on Xbox One

-

When a game is developed in partnership with hardcore speedrunners, you can kind of guess what type of experience is going to be hitting you. Yep, Splasher promises to be fast. Very fast!

Available right now on Xbox One, a download of Splasher will require you to spend £11.99/$14.99 of your finest cash. But when you do deliver that money to the Xbox Games Store, you’ll be in for a bit of a treat as Splasher promises to bring plenty of colour and threatens to put your reflexes to the test.

Splasher tells a bit of a story too, one in which a young hero learns to rise to fight for what’s right. To help him do so, and in order to take down the evil Le Docteur, he’ll need to make the most of his trusty splatter cannon, giving him superpowers which allow our hero to stick to walls, bounce or attack anything that comes near him. The 2D platforming mechanics found within will put you to a bit of a test, whilst the rather unique arcade style gameplay should be just enough to draw in any of those preparing to sit on the fence.

Just get yourself over to the Xbox Games Store and prepare for a bit of a fight.

Game Description:

The Splashers are in great danger! The quiet and peaceful workers from Inkorp are being led to their doom by paint factory’s evil, greedy boss: Le Docteur. A young hero rises to fight for what’s right. Armed with a splatter cannon, he launches an attack in order to save the Splashers and stand up to the dictator. His prodigious paint cannon grants him colorful superpowers which he can use to stick to the walls, bounce, or attack enemies. To help him succeed in his noble mission and put an end to the madness, put your skills and reflexes to the test and face whatever the factory throws your way. Splasher is a 2D platformer with unique arcade-style action gameplay. It offers gamers challenges that require agility, speed and fast reflexes, all set in a crazy cartoon universe. Splasher is the latest project from Romain Claude, former Game Designer and Level Designer at Ubisoft (Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends). He put together a small, talented team, including Art Director Richard Vatinel a.k.a Gromy, and Composer and Sound Designer Aymeric Schwartz (Absolver, Rayman Origins or Valiant Hearts) to create Splasher. The game was also developed in partnership with famous speedrunners.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
