Viruses, parasites and unknown enemies await in Herodes, as you take to a microscopic ship and blast your way through a human body.Â
In Herodes you drop into Patient Zero, heading deep into their body in hope of ridding them of all sickness. See, humanity is on the brink, or at least it was until science realised that there is no disease that cannot be combated and no virus that should be left untouched. It’s here where you are able to shrink yourself down to minute sizes, before blasting your way to ensure mankind gets within touching distance of immortality.
Priced at ÂŁ4.19 and coming from the QUByte Interactive and TecnoloGils teams as it releases on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Herodes is, in essence, a side-scrolling shooter; a shoot ’em up in which you shoot things that would previously never have been thought of.
Yep, you can ditch the trips to space and the underwater caverns of other games, Herodes is interested in the insides of humans, and how best it can handle the destruction of viruses and parasites.
Honestly, we’re a little bit sold in what Herodes is attempting, interested by that low price point. We’ll find out in full review as to whether this shmup is able to provide enough to warrant a look. Until that time, the Xbox Store will deliver the download you need. Humanity needs you.Â
