Some 8 years ago we told you how Sociable Soccer was to take over the world. Well, whilst the original game went well on Apple Arcade, world domination was far from taken. But now Sociable Soccer is back – with confirmation that Sociable Soccer 24 on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC will be launching later this year.
Sociable Soccer 24 comes from the Tower Studios team; headed up by the renowned Jon Hare. And this promises to be a far cry from the sensible soccer action that is delivered via the likes of EAFC 24 and the latest eFootball. Instead, Sociable Soccer 24 on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC will look to continue the Sensible Soccer (the game) vibes from years past.
What to expect from Sociable Soccer 24?
You know how EAFC (once known as FIFA) and eFootball (ah, we still miss PES) can be brilliant replications of real-world football? Well, Sociable Soccer 24 will look to do the same, but it’ll be doing that with a more arcade style. Yep, this will focus on 100 miles per hour thrills and spills of gegenpressing, addictive, arcade style soccer.
And it’ll do it across both online and offline multiplayer matches, delivering a whole world of soccer for single players to immerse themselves in.
Better still, if you have previously purchased a Steam Early Access edition of Sociable Soccer, you’ll get the 24 Edition for free when it launches in November 2023. There’s promise that Sociable Soccer 24 will then be released across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, staggered.
Jon Hare speaks
“Everyone who plays Sociable Soccer will remember how much fun it is to beat your friends and family at a game you love, again and again. We are a fast, exhilarating arcade game set in a real football world, not a predictable, boring simulation. If you prefer your life to be steady, polished and uninspiring then stay where you are. If you are up for something new, stylised, fast and addictive then welcome to our Sociable world of soccer.” – Founder of Tower Studios Jon Hare.
Expect more details in the coming weeks. For now, let us know if you are excited to see Sociable Soccer 24 finally launch on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC.
