Pack your bags and stock up on refreshments for a zombie bashing roguelike road trip with deadly consequences. Welcome to the randomly generated pixel world of Death Road to Canada!
Managing a group of survivors, you’ll be tasked with making the journey from Florida to Ontario, whilst having to deal with hordes of up to 500 zombies at once – all amid the risk of permadeath.
You must scavenge for supplies and fight back using all sorts of weapons such a cannon, a machete, a ray gun and much more. Decisions will need to be made along the way, including who to recruit for your team of four from a range of discoverable survivors, each possessing their own traits and personalities; the bodybuilder that can pick up and throw anything, and the teleporting mad scientist for instance. There are even animals.
It’s got plenty of replay value too as every game features randomised cities, different survivors available to recruit and sees various events occurring.
Death Road to Canada has arrived on Xbox One, PS4 and Switch, coming with the major content released previously for the PC version. Whether you want to brave the undead apocalypse alone or in local co-op with a friend, it’s available to buy from a digital store near you – we love the Microsoft Store – for £11.99.
We’ll have a review for you in the near future and that should be able to help you make your mind up about a purchase. Keep an eye out for it very, very soon!
Edit: That review is now live 🙂
