The week is over once again and so it’s time for us to look back at the best Xbox news, reviews, opinions and videos of the last seven days. Here are our favourite articles from between the 24th-31st July 2016.
For years Lionel Messi has been the cover star on FIFA titles and was widely known in the video game world as EA’s man. But now Lionel and all his FC Barcelona teammates are jumping ship, associating themselves with Konami and becoming PES superstars. Just in time for PES 2017 too!
With Konami and FC Barcelona teaming up, we’ll be seeing even more of what many consider the best team in the world, the breathtaking Camp Nou and, of course, the main man himself, in PES 2017 and future PES titles.
As we already know, from 2nd August 2016, Xbox gamers will be able to get their hands on the Xbox One S in stores. But for some the 2TB console on its own is just not enough. Anyone who wishes to wait just under another month for the new console will be able to pick it up with either the Madden NFL or Halo 5: Guardians in the package.
While there is a notable reduction in the storage capacity of the console itself, for anyone who is interested in this deal, we have the full details on our post.
What could be considered as the surprise hit of E3 2016, the creepy We Happy Few is finally available to play as an Xbox One Game Preview title. While anything we see on the preview could be changed prior to the final version dropping, it’s still a good idea to check out the opinions Gareth threw together whilst playing through the preview.
If you are looking forward to the full release of the game, then you should probably take a look at what he had to say.
FIFA. Every year, without fail, we get treated to the latest iteration of EA Sports’ popular football game. While some would say the series has been lacking in areas the past few years, there is no doubt that FIFA 17 is one of the most ambitious FIFA’s in recent times.
But what can we really expect from FIFA 17? Harry looks into the new features threatening to freshen things up, how the new graphics engine will make all the biggest players (and managers) look as real as possible, and all other bits and pieces that have been brought onto the pitch to make matches in FIFA 17 the most authentic and enjoyable we have ever seen in the series.
As we go into the busy Autumn months, it’s time to look at the upcoming retail games hitting store shelves in August…and we really have some big releases to look forward to.
Aside from the highly anticipated Triple-A games such as Deus Ex Mankind Divided, we also have a few titles that will please both racing and horror fans, with the likes of F1 2016, Assetto Corsa and Pineview Drive all appearing.
There’s also the chance to jump back into a Worm filled battleground with Team17’s latest Worms title too.
Catch you next week!
