It’s a classic series that we thought may have had its day. But Fear Effect is back and with Fear Effect Reinvented we’ll get the chance to go hands-on with a true-to-the-original remake. That should sell it right there.Â
The finer details of Fear Effect Reinvented are still pretty much up in the air, especially in terms of when it’s coming and exactly what formats it’ll be hitting. But the name itself pretty much sells interest and that’s the case as the new teaser trailer rolls out.Â
Previously under the Square Enix Collective banner, this is a classic title that has been reimagined by the Megapixel Studio and Forever Entertainment teams, Fear Effect Reimagined is an action-adventure, coming across as a true-to-the-original remake of the first game from the classic Fear Effect franchise – refreshed with improved graphics and controls.
It focuses on Wi-Ming Lam, the daughter of a Hong Kong Triad boss, who has been kidnapped. And from there you’ll take on the roles of the mercenary trio: Hana, Glas, and Deke, all as you go and try to find the missing girl.
Key features of Fear Effect Reinvented include:
- – Iconic adventure-horror with reinvented gameplay, graphics, and controls
- – Original story expanded to three separate campaigns
- – Modern third-person perspective camera
- – Play as Hana Tsu-Vachel, Royce Glas, or Deke and unravel all secrets of demonic conspiracy
- – From cover-based battle system to survival horror elements
- – Unlock the whole gallery to get even more additional content
- – Collect items, solve puzzles and manage your inventory to beat three difficulty modes
