Aery – Stone Age is a time travelling flyer

Should you have found love with the plethora of Aery games already on the Xbox Store, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, you should be totally down with heading back to times gone by. It’s there we are travelling to with the release of Aery – Stone Age.

We could sit and count the sheer number of Aery games that are currently available on Xbox, but we’d fast run out of fingers and toes, and that would be well before we include the sub-series’ that have been built on the back of it – the Murder Diaries, the Life of Flys and more.

Go back in time with Aery – Stone Age

We’ll just tell you that, should you like the opportunity to soar through the sky in the most relaxing of ways, with little to halt your progress, Aery should be a franchise you take in. It places you on the wings of a bird flying high, intent on ticking checkpoints as you slowly navigate across various planes.

It’s about as relaxing and calming as you can get, especially if you take in the ‘Calm Mind‘ side of the series. But rarely does an Aery game excite, or even dare to move too far from the usual formula.

Aery – Stone Age on Xbox then. Priced at £8.39, this is the latest installment in EpiXR Games’ plans for domination. As the name suggests, in this one you’ll find yourself heading back in time, to a long-forgotten land, all in hope of hunting down various memory shards.

Do so and new areas will await; lands populated by dinosaurs, created by volcanos. Fail and, well, we don’t think you can fail too much in an Aery game. At least not unless you get unlucky with bugs and glitches.

Fly high right now with Aery – Stone Age

You’ll find the download of Aery – Stone Age that you need over on the Xbox Store. You’ll be able to play the game on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, all by dropping some £8.39 in cash.

Let us know if decide to purchase it. And if you’re an Aery veteran, we’d love to know what your favourite game in the series is. The comments are below.

Aery – Stone Age Description

In Aery – Stone Age you play as a little flying spirit that watches humanity in its early states evolve. You will discover a long-forgotten land with beautiful environments, and you will be able to enjoy the feeling of flying while exploring a whole world filled with beauty and little secrets. Within every area of the world, you must find a certain amount of memory shards to remember the path that leads to your destination and advance with the story. Once you have found all the memory shards you are free to explore the next area.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
