Priced at £5.99 and the latest from Ratalaika Games, Cyber Citizen Shockman 3: The princess from another world is playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised for the latter. You'll also find it on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.Â
Until now, Microsoft’s deep pockets have given us Bethesda acquisitions and the gushing font of games that is Game Pass, but there’s one thing they haven’t been able to buy: big games from Japan. But 2021 may change that. We have already been given the first Dragon Quest on a Microsoft console, and we’ve just about survived an avalanche of Yakuza games. April, to continue the trend, is offering us not one, not two, but three killer joints from Japan, and the Xbox is all the better for it. A little April shower of games for this month’s Up Next, then, which is appropriate, as you get to play a cloud in one of them. Yep, a cloud.
When Big Sugar and 2 Ton Studios released Unto The End to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC back in December, the sheer difficulty of the combat found many giving up with the intriguing story. Now though the game has been updated, and alongside some assistance to the combat, a variety of gameplay tweaks and bug fixes, is the option to run through the game without ever needing to kill a thing.
Exhausted what Codemasters originally delivered in DIRT 5? Ticked off everything the additional Energy Content Pack threw in? Today is your lucky day as not only do DIRT 5 players get access to some new premium DLC, but a free update ensures that a host of options open themselves up.
theHunter: Call of the Wild isn't the only hunting experience available on console or PC. But it's most definitely the best. Today though it gets better still as man's best friend joins us for the ride as we get the chance to utilise the power of a Bloodhound and get tracking like never before.
Team17 have a habit of producing quirky and social experiences like Worms, Overcooked! and Moving Out, which makes Narita Boy all the more of a surprise. This is a solo saga set in the hard drive of a games console, and it’s grim, dark and brutal.
When Gods Will Fall launched back in January, few could have imagined that it would switch up the roguelike genre like it did. But honestly, the brutal world that it provided became one that we couldn't ignore. Now though comes the first DLC pack for the game, and whilst it doesn't change too much about the core gameplay, the Gods Will Fall Hunter's Head Gear pack is well worth considering.
Yet again we find the Xbox Deals With Gold Sale for 30th March - 5th April 2021 providing all manner of stunning titles, at superb prices. The question is, which games will you be picking up this week?
So, all in all, Shift 2: Unleashed from way back in 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC was a good game, but not quite as good as the marketing hype may have had you believe. Autolog and racing with friends was fun, the upgrading of the cars and the gradual unlocking of the new series made for an addictive play, and the game looked the part as well. But it failed to reach the heights many predicted.
Killer Instinct Season 3 was a cracker when it released in 2016 - but even now it hasn't got easier. The combos are still fun to perform and look amazing though, and honestly, that’s all we want in life.
Games, games, and more games! That’s what you can expect in this episode after an eventful week which included the Future Games Show and a jam-packed ID@Xbox Twitch showcase. It doesn’t matter if you’re more inclined towards Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo or PC, there’s going to be lots of interesting games to hear about in TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 73. So, sit back, relax and prepare to take it all in.
The ID@Xbox Indie Showcase, on the whole, was a pretty great show. The format certainly needed some tightening up and I would have preferred an evening to smack-dab in the middle of Friday. However, where it truly counts, the games are where the show shined, particularly as there was something for everyone. From point-and-click-adventures to life simulations. From roguelikes to isometric RPGs. From first person shooters to platformers. From... well, you get the picture.
When you've got the award winning Slime-San under your belt, you can pretty much do anything. And that's what Fabraz, along with the Playtonic Friends are planning to do with the release of 3D platformer Demon Turf.
Honestly, sometimes you just have to sit back and admire the trailers you are given. That's the case with the magical Moonglow Bay which has just been announced for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Game Pass.
2021 is looking like a hell of a year for Xbox players, and much of that is down to the wide range of gaming experiences on the table. We Are The Caretakers is another game that will be dropping onto the system later this year, but this one is a little different in its ideology - for with every purchase, we'll see 10% of the game’s revenues going to support the Wildlife Conservation Network.
It's simple really - transform the world, find loot, and battle through a waterlogged labyrinth. Pretty much everyday occurrences. Or at least it will be when the island-shifting action-roguelike Loot River drops on to Xbox and PC. And yes, it does seem to be as nuts as it sounds.
