Some six years have gone by since Artifex Mundi first released Chronicles of Magic: Divided Kingdom to the world. But now it brings that same spellbinding tale to Xbox.
A new Artifex Mundi tale
Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and still present on Steam, is Chronicles of Magic: Divided Kingdom. Created by those at The House of Fables, this is the latest Hidden Object adventure to roll out onto Xbox via those at Artifex Mundi. Never heard of them? Well, we spent a whole week playing nothing but Artifex Mundi games in hope of discovering the magic within.
Today though it’s all about Chronicles of Magic: Divided Kingdom. Priced at £12.49, you’ll discover a game that is all about the discovery of secrets. A Hidden Object game, it focuses on the White Kingdom and the Black Kingdom; one powered by magic, the other by a curse. From there, the usual Hidden Object narrative madness unfolds.
For us though, it’s the gameplay which is the star in any Artifex game and we’re hoping that will be the case again here. And getting involved in that gameplay will ensure you get the chance to stop the evil and attempt to uncover the mysteries of the royal blood.

Chronicles of Magic: Divided Kingdom Description
Long ago, the twin kingdoms destroyed each other in war. The White Kingdom was rebuilt with magic, but the Black Kingdom is still cursed – dark clouds envelop the sky, and dangerous vines destroy fields and houses. The noble Queen Mariette in the White Castle looks after her own subjects, but also supports the suffering inhabitants of the dark land. During your dangerous journey you will meet the inhabitants of both the White and Black Kingdoms. It won’t be immediately clear who is really trustworthy. The boundaries between good and evil, magic and technology, and black and white will begin to blur, and the fate of the two kingdoms – and your son’s life – will be in your hands. Will you work with the most unexpected allies? Will you stop the evil and solve the mystery of the royal blood?
