Exo suits?! Dinosaurs?! Exo suits blowing up dinosaurs?! If you like those three things, then we are sure you have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Capcom’s Exoprimal on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. If not, then read on, and we will explain to you the absolute madness that Expoprimal brings.
Dinosaurs Return!
The year is 2040, and prehistoric dinosaurs have re-appeared across the globe. Albius Corp and its predictive AI technology Leviathan foretold such an event, and have rapidly deployed Exofighters to the area. In order to rid the world of dinosaurs once again, we won’t need a meteor. All we need is Exofighters to compete against each other in a set of wargames. All the while being hunted down by hordes of dinos. As to why we are doing this, all will be revealed throughout the course of the game. But do you really need a reason?
Releasing today on Xbox, PlayStation and PC – with the game available to download via Xbox and PC Game Pass – Exoprimal is an online-only multiplayer title that sees lobbies of ten players battle to complete objectives. Two teams of five players will battle in PvE combat, with the victors being those who complete enough of the Dino Survival objectives. These include taking down specific dinosaurs, defending a point, or putting a stop to dinosaur spawns by shutting down a device. These are but a few of the objectives present within each Dino Survival match, and occasionally all ten players will team up to dispose of a boss dino.
Dino Survival matches will also contain a Final Mission, with which the match ends with. These are similar objectives, that will also see teams go head-to-head, or indeed work together.
Customisation Upon Customisation
When it comes to customising your own exosuit, Capcom have gone all out. You’ll first pick from one of three key roles – Assault, Tank, or Support. And from there will pick one of the four Assault exos, or one of the three Tank or Support exos. It’s classic hero shooter fare that we have seen in the likes of Overwatch and Apex Legends.
However things go a step further with the introduction of Rigs and Modules. It’s these that are unlocked as you progress through Player Levels or Suit Levels. These can be switched in and out to fine-tune your unique exo – it’s a min-maxer’s dream!
Throw in the ability to set up defenses within each match, fight mutated dinosaurs known as Neosaurs, and of course progression through the customary Battle Pass (known here as the Survival Pass), with Free and Premium Tiers, and we can see many playing Exoprimal for the months to come.
Available Now!
Exoprimal is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Remember, the base game is free to download for those with Xbox and PC Game Pass.
Otherwise, via the Xbox Store the base game will cost you £49.99, whilst for £54.98 you will receive the Deluxe Edition content. That includes the Survival Pass Season 1 Premium Tier, as well as Early Unlock Tokens for three of the exosuits, as well as some cosmetic skins.
Those skins are plentiful too and we’d suspect Capcom will be building on those as things progress.

Game Description
Exoprimal is an online, team-based action game that pits humanity’s cutting-edge exosuit technology against history’s most ferocious beasts – dinosaurs.
Exosuits are grouped into different roles, and players will pilot these exosuits to hold firm against overwhelming dinosaur swarms in online-only, team-based action game modes. Dino Survival, the main game mode, sees two teams of five players compete in a variety of PvE and PvP missions. Players will be transported to the scene of the latest dinosaur outbreak and follow Leviathan’s guidance to complete objectives. The team that completes the mission first will emerge victorious.
Whether players are engaging the other team directly, or fighting alongside them against a common enemy, the aim is to accomplish objectives as quickly as possible. Missions vary depending on player skill and other factors, meaning no two matches will unfold the same way.
