Honestly, we’ve been pretty hyped for the release of Trinity Fusion ever since we saw the announcement back in 2022. Hell, we’ve even included it in our ‘Best games of December‘ list – it looks THAT intriguing. Finally we can get hands-on and fight as our parallel selves as Trinity Fusion drops onto Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
Trinity Fusion is a sci-fi roguelite that builds in action, hostility and the chance to go leaping through dimensions. From the indie development team of Angry Mob Games, it launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC (Epic, Steam).
Breaking out of Early Access
Having sat in Early Access for a little bit, Trinity Fusion comes alive with a 1.0 launch to ensure players get dropped into the multiverse-hopping boots of Maya. Maya is a cross-dimensional warrior psychically linked to her three parallel selves. Their mission? To save what they can of their dying worlds as they re-unite their universes into one stable timeline.
Playing out as an action-packed adventure, the 1.0 version of Trinity Fusion features overhauled mechanics, new weapons, improved graphics, a new game mode, and a ton of other great updates. Together, they should be able to tell the full Trinity Fusion story. This release also includes a brand new final boss and Endless mode, both of which are sure to challenge even the most seasoned of universe hoppers.
Trinity Fusion features a wide range of equipment that scales up in power and modifiers. It does this as you defeat more enemies. The procedurally generated world of Trinity Fusion features a rich narrative created in tandem with sci-fi novelist, Ada Hoffmann, and you’ll discover new story nuggets throughout both successful and failed runs.
But don’t worry about failing. This is a roguelite and so if you find yourself dying too often, you can always start your next attempt in a new reality. And each reality features its own unique enemies and challenges.
