It won’t be long before we get given the opportunity to take to the skies with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Want to hear more about the multiplayer features that will be in place?
Going head-to-head to settle the score up in the skies, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be arriving on Xbox One and PS4 come 18th January 2019, with a PC release a couple of weeks later on 1st February. Whilst you can expect a full campaign mode to be in place, it is the multiplayer side of things that Bandai Namco are today talking about.
Up to 8 players will be able to fight it up in intense online dogfights when Ace Combat 7 arrives, allowing aerial aces the chance to face off against seven other players in a free for all Deathmatch mode, and also a Team Deathmatch mode too.
28 aircraft will be in place for us to utilise (with more available via the Deluxe Edition and pre-order scheme), with personalisation a huge part of the experience. This will see you given more than 100 enhanced parts and weapons, over 300 emblems and multiple nicknames to tailor the equipment to best suit your play style.
Taking to the air won’t be straightforward though and with others around you, you can expect the action to be hot. During a match players that have the highest rank will be highlighted in-game, putting a ‘bounty’ on their heads for the others to acknowledge, providing a higher score bonus to those that take them down. Will you be able to survive and claim victory?
We’ll be sure to remind you when Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown hits home on Xbox One and PS4. If you are playing on the latter, you’ll also have access to an exclusive and dedicated experience with specific missions developed for the Sony PlayStationVR.
Will we be seeing you up in the clouds? Or being shot down before you can even drag up your gear? Let us know what you think about Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown and the multiplayer features in particular by posting in the comments.
