If you’ve ever painted people with tiny brushes, then you’ll know how much a Games Workshop hobby can hit you in the back pocket. It makes it all the more remarkable, then, that the newest Games Workshop game, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, is out, day one, on Game Pass! Yeah, we know it’s not free, but it feels like a gift nonetheless. And that’s not all, marine - 5 other games join it.Â
With a little more care put into the tutorial and explanation side of Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, the card based gameplay could well have been a lot of fun, but that fun is nipped in the bud sadly.
There are a ton of Warhammer products already doing the rounds on Xbox, Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground, Chaosbane Slayer Edition and Mechanicus for three, but those at HeroCraft reckon there's room for some more - Space Wolf style!
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is a good game with some issues. The new unlockable units, the story line, and the whole setup of the universe happily draws you in. Yet some strange design decisions only come together to push you away again. With a little tweaking, this could be a great game, but the way things are set up does it no favours.
It's already released to great acclaim on PC, and will soon be found allowing PlayStation 4 players the opportunity to work their way towards the Citadel of Eternity, but for now, it's all about the Chaos Wastes which are being laid on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as Warhammer: Vermintide 2 expands.
Action packed, full of turn based combat and powered by a dark fantasy universe that is sure to excite many, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is now available on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC - with full crossplay support in place.
When Warhammer: Vermintide 2 launched in 2018, the new Careers were among the best new features as they provided additional character classes and offered different skills to use as a result. By now, you’re probably in need of a fresh way to tackle the Chaos and Skaven hordes, right? Well, as luck would have it, developers Fatshark have just released the Bardin Outcast Engineer DLC career for Vermintide 2 on Xbox One!
In the grim darkness of Warhammer 40,000 Battlesector, there is nothing but war. And that war will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PC later this year.
Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition on Xbox Series X is a game that will appease its fanbase massively. With this new updated version everything feels great to play and is extremely good to look at. There is a whole load of content all packaged together, and even though a single adventurer may find repetition coming to the fore, those who can find like-minded fans to join them will discover this to be a blast.
When Warhammer Chaosbane trundled onto the Xbox One in June of last year, we all murmured appreciation about it actually being a good Warhammer game. We gave it a solid 4/5 in our review, and said it “is a genuinely fun and exciting dungeon crawler RPG”. It didn’t break any records in terms of sales, but it had a prolonged life thanks to multiple DLC packs. It seems like a good time for a reappraisal, as Warhammer: Chaosbane has been spruced up for the launch of the Xbox Series X|S, and all its mod-cons are included, in the form of 12 packs of DLC, all additional content and a full 4K 60FPS experience.
