Rack ’em up in 9Ball Pocket

9Ball Pocket is on Xbox

Ready to smash some balls? 9Ball Pocket launches on Xbox today.

Available right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC is 9Ball Pocket. It’s the latest from Super PowerUp Games (they behind the optimised launch of Rock ‘N Racing Off Road) and allows players the chance to rack them up, before smashing them down into those there pockets.

Ready to pot some balls?

It’s priced easy enough at £4.99, with a launch discount dropping that down if you are quick. Whenever you grab it though, it’s the baize of the 8-ball pool table that awaits. Alone or with local friends, your task in 9Ball Pocket is to clear the table of all balls, faster than your opponent.

Strangely, the goal is to become number 1 in the online rankings, and so we’re guessing – hoping – that there’s a bit of a test of your ball potting skills on offer here. As long as the ball physics are on point, we’ll be happy.

Throw in some ‘great graphics and jazz music’ – their words, not ours – and you should find everything you need from a pool game. Of course, if you want something a bit more fancy, Pure Pool is still doing the business.

Buy now!

9Ball Pocket is on the Xbox Store right now. You’ll be able to play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with current-gen players being treated to some console optimisation.

We’ll look to run a review.

9-Ball Pocket brings you eight-ball pool, also known as American billiards. You can compete with up to 4 friends or against the AI in Versus mode, or challenge the best in the world in Arcade mode, where you can make combo shots and rack up points to become Number 1 in the online ranking. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
