Smuggler Simulator coming to Xbox One, Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Switch and PC

Yeah yeah, we know we’re only just in the opening stages of 2021, but if you’re looking to gaze well into the future you’ll be glad to know that Ultimate Games have got your back, with news that the rather unique, slightly disturbing, Smuggler Simulator is coming to Xbox, Playstation, Switch and PC.

In development by those at the Polish studio of 3T Games, with publishing rights handled by Ultimate Games – they also behind the likes of Ultimate Summer and Farm Mechanic Simulator – Smuggler Simulator for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will allow you the chance to make a career for yourself in the extremely dangerous profession of smuggling. 

Due to launch on Xbox in 2023, Smuggler Simulator will attempt to bring a dose of humour to the situation as you work through procedurally generated locations and missions, working your creative angle in the hope that you can move various goods across borders. 

Also confirmed for PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, the key to success here will be found in the cunning and creative approach you take to challenges, all as you transfer goods and other commodities while remaining unnoticed. With an extensive crafting system in play, as well as the need to maintain and upgrade tools of the trade, how you go about taking on these smuggling challenges will depend on your own imagination. 

According to the creators, individual tasks can be performed in different ways, and players’ creativity will play a vital role. For example, they will be able to use traditional smuggling tricks or decide to go for a solution taken straight out of Jackass. Smuggler Simulator will also offer very diverse locations in different parts of the world and, thanks to the procedural generation system, each gameplay session will prove unique.

“Smuggling is an old profession, practiced around the world both in times of progressing globalisation and during trade wars, transport restrictions and mass closing of borders. Smuggler Simulator is a completely unique proposition, in which the player will have to display great cunning and almost crazy levels of creativity. At the same time, our new game will reward you with a big dose of adrenaline and humour” – said Rafał Jelonek, CEO at 3T Games.

The main features of Smuggler Simulator on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC include:

  • a career in a dangerous industry;
  • gameplay requiring a lot of creativity;
  • diverse locations;
  • unique gameplay (procedural generation);
  • extensive crafting system;
  • upgrades for tools and other equipment;
  • a large dose of humour.

We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with how Ultimate Games worm a gaming experience out of this one as we move through 2021, 2022 and in to 2023. There may be some wait yet before we can get hands on, but we’ll obviously have a review when the time comes. For now, enjoy the trailer and wishlist the game on Steam.
