They’ve been nominated for various BRIT Awards, they’ve taken home tons of BMIs and have even nabbed themselves an Ivor Novello. Now though it’s time for Snow Patrol to really hit the big time, with them leading the way as the headline act of the latest Rocksmith DLC. Fancy yourself a bit of Indie Rock?
Available to purchase and download into your Rocksmith tutoring service right now is the Rocksmith Indie Rock Song Pack, a triple pack which includes tunes from the multi-million selling Snow Patrol, alongside some rather intriguing backup tunes.
Priced up at £6.69, the Rocksmith Indie Rock Song Pack contains the following…
- “Chasing Cars” – Snow Patrol
- “Bittersweet Symphony” – Aranbee Pop Symphony Orchestra
- “Renegades” – X Ambassadors
Now it’s obvious to me which is the biggest draw here, and that comes with the inclusion of Chasing Cars from Snow Patrol. Having nailed more than 13 million album sales since their debut long-player dropped back in 1998, seeing worldwide fame hit with the release of the brilliant Eyes Open in 2006 – an album which contained the stunning Chasing Cars which we see added to Rocksmith today.
But that’s not to dismiss the other song choices that have been chosen and whilst The Verve’s version of Bittersweet would have been preferred, Rocksmith is all about the melodies and so we can certainly live with this one.
As always, a £2.49 price is also attached to each of the individual tunes too, so if you can’t stretch to the full asking price of the Indie Rock Song Pack, or just want to learn how to nail Chasing Cars without fuss nor bother, then that is the way to go. The Xbox Store will sort out the downloads required for Xbox One and Xbox 360 guitarists, while that of the PlayStation Store will happily provide the goods to PS3 and PS4 players.
If none of these tunes meet your demands, then you should check out the back catalogue of Rocksmith tracks that have arrived over the weeks. There’s even the chance to hone your skills a little more with recent Easy Exercises and Intermediate Exercises.
