The Greatest Xbox One Games of March

-

Spring has sprung and a new frontier has emerged with many games you’ll definitely remember come the end of the year. But while looking forward is great, it’s equally as good to occasionally look back. Here are 5 games that you certainly should remember, games that will remind you of why March is such an awesome month to be an Xbox player.

Titanfall – 2014

Titanfall

A scintillating mech FPS that provides hours of chaotic multiplayer excitement, Titanfall is a blast to play and is a huge Xbox One exclusive that totally shows off the power of the hardware.

Controlling titans is ballistic and delightfully destructive, and even when you’re a straggler roadie running on the ground, the smooth crispness of the aiming and shooting is just sublime; perhaps the best in the business.

Titanfall was quite possibly the first truly must-own exclusive on Xbox One when it launched in March 2014.

Ori and the Blind Forest – 2015

Ori and the Blind Forest

Another amazing Xbox One exclusive, Ori and the Blind Forest is a serene and beautiful platformer that is an elegant treat to behold. As swift as it is stunning and sweet, Ori and the Blind Forest is an excellent platformer with plenty of idyllic charm.

And just to seal the deal, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is fast approaching.

OlliOlli – 2015

OlliOlli

A 2D skateboarding game that’s unbelievably addictive, OlliOlli is a compulsively trick-happy skateboarding game that will have you grinding, pop-shoving, manuelling and, of course, ollying for high scores.

OlliOlli is proof positive that the best games can be simply designed and still be massively addictive.

DmC: Definitive Edition – 2015

DmC: Definitive Edition

Regardless of whether you consider Ninja Theory’s take on Devil May Cry is the real deal or not, it certainly captures all the attention with a cocky Dante who looks younger and zanier than his silver-haired counterpart.

The boss battles and the modernised computer-aged settings really pop the eyeballs, letting DmC look stunning and alternative whilst still garnering up the gumption to let you kick some demon hides into oblivion.

DmC: Definitive Edition really is top-drawer stuff, especially if you give it the chance it deserves.

Devil May Cry 5 – 2019

Devil May Cry 5

Back to form and back with a vengeance after 11 years away from the spotlight, Dante returns with an amazing offering that cannot and shall not be overlooked in Devil May Cry 5.

If you feel like kicking Ninja Theory’s take on DmC off a cliff, then DmC 5 does that kicking because it is the real deal and brings all the swagger and nonchalance along for the ride in a sensationally slick action slasher.

March in years past has been pretty good, no? Let us know what games you remember releasing in March and why they are such superb titles. We’d love to hear from you.
