Why so Serious? More mayhem gets added to Game Pass!

For many it’s the Xbox Game Pass scene which provides their gaming habits. If that’s the case then the latest addition to the service will be of interest. But why so Serious?

Game Pass, as a subscription service, is a no-brainer. If you have an Xbox console, or game on PC, grabbing a monthly or annual sub should be high on your agenda. Why? Well, Game Pass consistently hits the mark, delivering free gaming opportunities to subscribers. And it stays fresh by rotating the list of games included, with new additions coming in, and older games going out, on a fairly regular basis. 

And with Game Pass Core taking over from the previous Games With Gold scheme, if you don’t need the full deal, a cheaper option is in place. 

Today that Game Pass service changes things up again, adding in a new game. And that game, despite the name, is far from serious, adding in a ton of mayhem Yep, it’s time to welcome Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem to the party. 

Why so Serious?

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem from Croteam and Devolver Digital first released on Xbox back in 2022. Now it comes to Game Pass, fully playable by anyone with a subscription. 

Seen as a bit of a standalone expansion to Serious Sam 4, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem drops Sam deep into Siberia, left to go about his quest as best he can. With aliens to shoot, Easter Eggs to find and tons of quips to enjoy, this is Serious Sam at his best. 

A game that is full of forgotten stories, unexplored places and an absolute host of guns and weaponry, if you’re a Serious Sam on Game Pass fan, playing Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem should be right up your alley. 

And of course, if you don’t have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, you can still play. The Xbox Store will provide a download for £16.74. Really though, you’d be best grabbing at least a month’s sub. 

More coming to Game Pass?

There are more goodies coming to Game Pass soon too. In fact, as we move through to the end of July, the 31st looks to be a big day. It’s then when the hotly anticipated Venba drops onto the service.

And it’s that same day which sees a number of games shift out. If you’ve not yet played Dreamscaper, Expeditions: Rome (PC), Marvel’s Avengers, The Ascent or Two Point Campus, you need to get on it. 

August then promises even more Game Pass additions. We’re already looking at Celeste popping into the subscription scheme on August 1st.
