Winter Burrow – coming to Game Pass, Xbox, Steam

It may not be dropping until 2025, but Winter Burrow has today been revealed as a cozy little woodland survival game about a big-city mouse heading home. And it’s coming to Game Pass.

Developer Pine Creek Games and publisher Noodlecake have revealed Winter Burrow during the Xbox Games Showcase. This is a cosy woodland survival game  that focuses efforts on a big-city mouse returning home. Why? Well, so they can fix up their childhood burrow.

Coming to Xbox, Game Pass and Steam in early 2025, in Winter Burrow you’ll be found exploring, gathering and crafting, much like you would do in the plethora of other survival games on the market. But how many let you do it as a little mouse, intent on creating warm sweaters, baking pies and meeting the locals!

Key features

  • Home Sweet Home – In Winter Burrow, you play a mouse who returns from the big city to find their childhood home in ruins. To make matters worse, your Aunt (who was supposed to be looking after it) has gone missing. Restore your broken-down childhood burrow to its former glory so you can relax in front of the fireplace.
  • Explore a Frozen Wilderness – Brave the elements and journey out into the frozen wilderness to collect vital resources for both yourself and your new home. Beware of the insect wildlife and remember that nobody survives on their own; find new friends, expand your survival handbook and solve the mystery of what happened to your Aunt.
  • A Cozy Approach to Survival – Winter Burrow is a survival game you play at your own pace. Customize your character, decorate your burrow and choose a path that fits your play style. This story is yours to tell.

Winter Burrow is a debut title you should be keeping an eye on. Check out the reveal trailer and then hold tight for 2025 when it plans to launch on Xbox, Game Pass and PC.
