Looking to brush up on the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 news, reviews and videos from the last week? Let us take you on an opinion journey back through the last seven days.
It’s not long now until we finally get to go hands on with the latest zombie thriller but to say the upcoming launch of Dying Light has been a smooth one would be a little bit of a lie. Rumours of a delay to the physical version of the game have been doing the rounds for a little while with the developers themselves, Techland, seemingly not knowing (or wishing to divulge) what exactly was happening. That however all changed this week as they officially confirmed a delay of a month or so to the full retail disc version of the game. Digital copies will still be available but for the latest dates of release, have a read of our full article.
Whilst you wait for its release, there would be no harm in checking out the two latest videos to come from the Techland offices…watch them play co-op Dying Light and get more of an insight into the Parkour side of things!
Whilst Dying Light may have been delayed a little, there were numerous upcoming games that have now finally got themselves release dates. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is coming to new generation consoles in March, as will the delightful looking Ori and the Blind Forest and the Portal-esqe Magnetic: Cage Closed. APB Reloaded may still be some way from its release but its good to see the smash PC hit coming to Xbox One although if you’re looking for something a little sooner and are harking back to the days of Myst, then you may be best of looking towards Pneuma: Breath of Life.
Another couple we are currently hands on with, Unmechanical Extended and Riptide GP2 should also be on your radar (the latter of which is out right now). We’ll bring you full reviews of them both real soon.
That brings us nicely on to our reviews for the week, of which we have brought you a few.
Tetris is something that the vast majority of us would have played on some format or another, but if you are one of the odd few who haven’t yet experienced the worlds premier drop blocking title, you might like to do so now the Ultimate version is available on Xbox One. Ubisoft didn’t have the greatest of endings to 2014, but perhaps Tetris can just about save it for them? Have a read of our review and you’ll be fully in the loop.
You can also take a look at our thoughts on the latest titles to drop onto the Xbox One Games Store. The Saints are back with two new games; Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and Gat out of Hell. If you haven’t previously played SRIV on the older consoles, then Re-Elected is a great way to get to know the Third Street Saints…whether going to hell with Johnny Gat is a good idea is however up for debate!
Finally for this week, if you’re looking for some Xbox accessories, how about checking out Thumb Treadz for Xbox One? Not only are we still giving five sets away, but we’ve dropped our thoughts in an article. Check them out!
See you next week.
