There have been a fair few new games out on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 over the last few weeks and so this edition of A Week In The Hub is dominated by our thoughts and opinions from the last seven days…although we’ve also got a superb trailer for you to watch.

We will however start with three quick news pieces that you need to know about. Firstly, any WWE fans will be pleased to hear that the cover star for WWE 2K15 has been chosen. You can read about and watch the announcement just here. Secondly, motorsport fans will be glad to see the addition of even more DLC for Forza 5 on Xbox One. The ‘Hot Wheels’ car pack could well be the best content pack that has been added to the game so far, with some simply superb vehicles for you to get to grips with. And the thirdly in the news stakes, we wanted to point you towards a game that we feel shouldn’t be missed when it gets released early in 2015. Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries will be playable at this years Gamescom and so anyone visiting Cologne in August should make a bee line straight for the Woolfe stand.

Away from the main news and we were pretty shocked to see a number of new Xbox One games just drop onto the Xbox Games Store in a matter of days. No hype, no mention of them from Xbox HQ, no nothing. They just appeared, which made us think a bit….which is better? The ‘new’ Xbox One way in which games will just appear whenever they are ready OR the ‘old’ Xbox way that served us so well on the Xbox 360; set release days and plenty of communication and hype building prior to the release. Which do you prefer?

And then we get onto our reviews. No less than four went live last week (and we’ve still got a good few more being worked on!) and so if you are even remotely interested in Valiant Hearts: The Great War (4/5 stars), Contrast (4/5 stars), Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (4/5 stars) or Sniper Elite 3 (3/5 stars), then you could do worse than hit those links and check out our thoughts.

Finally, there was this video from the 2K Games and Gearbox offices that we just had to bring to your attention…Handsome Jack gives you some hints and tips on how to survive in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It’s more than worth a watch.

Thanks once again for all the feedback and communication we’ve had over the weeks. July is our birthday month and to celebrate us bringing you the best Xbox news and reviews over the last year, Insert Coin Clothing have been kind enough to give us a few vouchers to give away. You can get involved by reading this post. Don’t delay.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
