ACA NEOGEO Garou: Mark of the Wolves hits Xbox One

-

2026's Best Games

1999 first saw the release of GAROU: Mark of the Wolves. Released by SNK into the Japanese arcades, it obviously proved a bit of a hit. See, shortly after that it was moved over to the Neo Geo, then the Dreamcast before also dropping some years later onto PS2. It then really hit the big time in 2009 as SNK focused on the Xbox 360 version of the game, delivering it on to the Live Arcade system at the time. Should you wish to, you can still play that version via Xbox One Back-Compat.

Now though a whole new beast is here and Xbox One players get the chance to play Garou: Mark of the Wolves thanks to the ACA Neogeo scheme.

The latest title to hit console under that moniker, ACA Neogeo Garou: Mark of the Wolves is certainly not the snappiest title we’ve ever seen, but it should be something that fans of the game from back in the day will flock to.

Priced up at £6.39, with Mark of the Wolves now appearing under the ACA banner, we see the likes of amendable game difficulty settings and global leaderboards included, all as we take on some old school fighting mechanics from years gone by.

With Rock Howard in play – yep, the son of the iconic Geese – anyone who feels like they need a bit of a fighting hit, and are happy to take on the retro goodies that the ACA NEOGEO series of games brings, will be more than happy with what is found in Mark of the Wolves.

Get over to the Xbox Store and nab yourself a download now.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
